Sheen Hok – Brings light to Vietnamese blind children

(Thoi bao tai chinh Vietnam) In Ha Noi, Van Hien Magazine has just cooperated with Sheen Hok International Foundation to launch Sheen Hok Vietnam. With the position of Vice President of Sheen Hok International and President of Sheen Hok Vietnam, the actress Ly Nha Ky shared that in 2010, the Fund will focus entirely on health and education fields, including conducting free surgeries for poor children who have problem with eyes. With the campaign ‘Sheen Hok takes action for the blindness’, on 16 May, Central Eye Hospital conducted free surgeries for some blind children.

Sheen Hok International was founded in 1994 with the sponsor of Henyep, one of the oldest financial service companies in Hong Kong (China). Sheen Hok Vietnam will focus on health and education field. For the time being, the Fund starts with the campaign ‘Sheen Hok takes action for the blindness’. Estimated budget in Vietnam in 2010 is for many activities and projects such as: Collecting the information of blind children below 15 years-old in Ha Noi, HCMC and other provinces in order to conducting free services, ie. Operation, traveling, food and beverages, medicine, etc.

With 1.2 million USD for charitable activities, in the near future, SHV will bring the chance to treat thousands of blind children nationwide.
